We Heal As One: Here’s What You Can Do to Help Fight COVID-19
By Airah Agustin 10 Apr 2020 455

In times of crisis, big companies and organizations have stepped up to help our fellow Filipino. Whether to help our brave frontliners combat the disease, or help the vulnerable communities get by, these organizations are doing their part in the Bayanihan Act.

  • ABS-CBN’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig Program

The ABS-CBN campaign, in partnership with our local government units and other private companies, aims to raise funds to be able to give out the basic necessities of our less fortunate fellows. They recently made an “At Home” Concert featuring the network’s artists in order to raise awareness of the campaign and has garnered garnered 3.7 million views.

  • The Philippine Red Cross

The PRC is knocking on the hearts of kind people who can donate to their organization in order to help our medical frontliners. Red Cross has given 180,000 face masks to various hospitals in Metro Manila, and face masks and PPE to frontline government agencies and Hong Kong-bound overseas Filipino workers since the outbreak. They also have been setting up emergency tents at hospitals. A recently launched hotline by this humanitarian organization — 1158 — is available 24/7 for any COVID-19 related concerns.
