Here’s a List of Things NOT to Joke About for April Fools’ Day.
April Fools' Day happens every 1st of April when a lot of people are having their practical jokes and hoaxes.
Tomorrow is April Fools’ Day again, and we are pretty sure that people are preparing for something to joke or prank about to fool around people.
From pregnancy/miscarriage, self-harm to illnesses, there are a lot of things that we should be sensitive to make fun of. We are in the year 2020, we need to be responsible and a little more conscious about what we joke about on April Fools’ Day, but it seems like some people are still insensitive like they are living in the past.
So to guide everyone on April Fools’ Day and if you’re interested to gain some awareness, here’s a list of things we should not consider as a joke or prank on April 1st:
- Pregnancy / Miscarriage
- Pregnancy / Miscarriage
- Coming out (LGBTQ)
- Cheating
- Death or Suicide
- Rape / Sexual Assault
- Self-Harm
- Mental Health Disorder
- Cancer / Illness
Certainly, there is at least one or two from this list that you should take seriously.
There are actually quite a lot of funny stuff that we can do on April Fools’ Day that doesn’t undermine serious struggles and make fun of it (you can find them on youtube)
So before you prepare something to laugh about, make sure that it’s something that’s not sensitive, because we have no idea when these things are a too painful and dreadful reality for others.
